ABOUT THE HEADSTART INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PROGRAM
Headstart Music is an Instrumental program that provides weekly lessons on the Saxophone, Trumpet, Flute, Clarinet and Percussion. Instruction takes place on the Harison College Secondary School campus during the school year (3 Terms) on Saturday afternoons. Students receive small group private instruction from beginner to intermediate level, in preparation for their annual End-Of-Year talent showcases. Our students have also been featured at the Barbados Jazz Excursion’s main stage, and at the annual Queen’s Park Christmas Spectacular.
ABOUT THE HEADSTART TECH PROGRAM
In the Spring of 2023, The Headstart Program received a donation of 10 MacBook Air Laptops equipped with up-to-date recording software. This new component will be offered as a part of the Headstart initiative, which will provide students with the opportunity to experience Music Production and Songwriting, as well as Digital Recording.
